I haven't written in here in forever! However, I have been writing, and I'm currently revising a novel that's actually two years in the making. Hoping to have it ready to go out for critique in the next six weeks.

Hide and Seek

Standing here
on the edge of a rock
overlooking the world.
Wishing I could see you,
wanting to find you,
thinking I had you,
if I'd rounded that corner
a little faster.
I wonder if it's a game you play
because you hold all the pieces.
You don't have to be found
unless you want to be.
If I get too close,
change into a tree,
or this rock
beneath my feet.
You were the water once.
I was tangled up and consumed by you.
Your embrace the undertow,
my breathless joy
not quite enough of a gift.
You pull away,
your game.
And me again,
coming up with nothing in my hands
but air.

Fangs, Fur, Fey...I think fey about sums it up right now!

Hook contest angst...
The waiting is driving me crazy!
And I sure as hell don't want to be competing against my friends! I suppose I should have thought of that earlier damnit!
